I’m aware of that, definitely. But if “cher” is ridiculous, how is katie’s kie/kir set any more reasonable? There’s a line somewhere but I dont feel like we’re drawing it in the right place.
@apogeesystem: Kie/kir/etc is acknowledged as having been made up as a purely aesthetic choice. Chim/cher/etc are explained as pronouns which “transcend the traditional human concept of gender since I am a cat. I am not just a her, but a cher.” I’m not sure how you can be unclear on which of these positions is reasonable, and which is not.
@sometimes-pizza-times-it-sometim: I would suggest you look into the term Xenu, it’s a figure from Scientology. I’m also not sure how you can reach the conclusion that pony and cat are obvious jokes as pronouns but cher, which is literally intended to ”transcend the traditional human concepts of gender since I am a cat” - aka “cat-her” - is not. Finally, as to the question who am I to decide where to draw the line? I’m a reasonable person who is part of this community and has seen enough of both trolls and newbies to know the difference. I would think that’s all that’s required. ~Wrath~
